Over N200bn Legacy Projects : Delta APC Applauds Governor

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for approving over N200 billion worth of legacy infrastructure projects across the state, describing the move as “visionary” and “development-driven.”

In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the party praised the Governor’s recent approval of two major flyovers at Otovwodo Junction (Ughelli North) and Uromi Junction (Ika South), noting their strategic importance in easing traffic congestion, boosting safety, and enhancing commercial activity.

“These landmark projects will decongest traffic, reduce accidents, and stimulate economic growth by improving the flow of goods and services to markets and industrial hubs,” the statement said.

The APC added that the projects align with Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. Agenda—which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security—while also complementing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The party hailed the synergy between the federal and state governments as a powerful catalyst for sustainable development in Delta. “The impact of this partnership is already evident in the lives of our people,” the statement emphasised.

The party further commended the Governor for his consistency in delivering on his promises, declaring: “It is no surprise that these far-reaching projects have earned him the nickname, ‘Mr. Legacy Projects.’”

Calling for transparent implementation, the APC urged contractors and ministries to ensure quality delivery and value for taxpayers’ money while encouraging Deltans to support the administration’s development agenda.

“This is only the beginning of a greater harvest of infrastructural and human capital development,” the statement concluded, reaffirming the APC’s commitment to inclusive governance and lasting impact under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership.
