Lawuru Hails Newly-Crowned Udu Monarch, Orugbo

A prominent leader of the Ijaw nation and National President Southern Youth Movement (SYM), High Chief Promise Lawuru (also known as Ozigizaga) has hailed the emergence of the newly-crowned king of Udu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Engr. Micheal Ogheneovo Orugbo.

Engr Orugbo was crowned after his selection by the family.

In a statement he personally signed and released to the press over the weekend, Lawuru described the successful selection of the respected monarch as an “act of God.”

He expressed the hope that the reign of HRM Orugbo would be peaceful and bring about significant benefits not only for the kingdom but for humanity at large.

Lawuru commended the Udu Kingdom populace for their peaceful participation in the coronation ceremony and encouraged the new monarch to initiate a fresh chapter of harmonious coexistence among the people of Udu and other ethnic groups within the state.

Additionally, he called upon the Udu people to lend their full support to the king, enabling him to elevate the kingdom to greater heights.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of the Ijaw nation, I congratulate His Royal Majesty, Okporua I, the newly crowned king of Udu Kingdom, the members of the Udu Traditional Council, and the people of Udu on this significant achievement,” Lawuru stated.

“Udu Kingdom has consistently showcased itself as a peaceful, close-knit, and investor-friendly community. I urge the people to remain committed to this admirable path.”

He encouraged King Orugbo to focus on fostering harmony within the kingdom and building strong relationships with neighboring communities, while also attracting more investment opportunities to Udu.
