IN a continued demonstration of its commitment to education and youth empowerment, the Okehebunor Foundation has extended its support to the pupils of King Makers Academy, aiming to enhance their learning experience and encourage greater focus on their education.
During a visit to the school, the foundation distributed essential writing materials to all pupils, helping to ease the financial burden on parents and enhance the learning experience of the students. In a further gesture of encouragement, three pupils were specially recognized and rewarded with cash gifts for their exemplary behavior and discipline.
In his address, the Founder, Mr. Samuel Okehebunor expressed that the initiative was part of their broader mission to foster academic excellence and instill positive values among young learners.
He urged the children to be a citizen of greatness and pay great attention to their studies and their teachers.
Appreciating the warm gesture of the foundation, the proprietress of the school , Mrs Nnenna Ike staff welcomed the support with gratitude, noting the impact such contributions have on morale and academic performance.
She praised the Foundation for its consistency and called on other organizations and individuals to emulate this gesture in supporting grassroots education.
Recalled that the foundation also visited Akuma Primary School and Umuocha Primary School both in Akumazi Umuocha, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State when he led his team to the schools to distribute educational materials to pupils of the schools as part of activities to commemorate the Global Action Week for Education.
Okehebunor also implored beneficiaries to take their education seriously as education was key to the success of any individual, adding that the foundation was designed to create sustainable change by providing educational, healthcare, economic empowerment and sustainable development initiatives to reach communities where needed .
Also speaking, the Technical Consultant, Okehebunor Foundation, Augusta Keneboh said that this year’s Global Action Week for Education with the theme: Education Saves Lives and Protect Education Emergencies, was a global education program , marked annually all over the world to remind relevant stakeholders and the children that education was key to their success.
