In a momentous political realignment set to transform the political landscape of Delta State, the Governor and other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders are scheduled to officially join the All Progressives Congress (APC) today. The Vice President of Nigeria and the APC National Chairman will be in Asaba to formally welcome them, marking a significant event in the state’s political history.
Speaking ahead of the event, a Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Onwusanya Peter Jnr, congratulated the governor on his visionary decision, describing it as a bold and strategic step in the collective interest of the people.
“This historic move reflects His Excellency’s enduring commitment to the growth, unity, and prosperity of Delta State,” Onwusanya Jnr stated. “The decision to align with the All Progressives Congress is not about personal ambition, but about creating greater opportunities for our people and ensuring the future of Delta is more secure and prosperous”, he added.
Hon. Onwusanya reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Governor, urging the youth and the general public to rally behind this transition.
“As Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization, I call on all young people across Delta State to see this as a new dawn. It is a time for renewed hope, greater participation, and strengthened unity. Together, under the leadership of His Excellency and within the APC, we will achieve remarkable progress.”
He concluded by assuring Deltans that the Governor’s decision is rooted in the desire to serve the people better and to open new doors of opportunity for all.
