THE newly elected chairman of Umuobiaje youths, Comrade Anslem Ajudua has assured the good people of the community that he would run an inclusive governance and carry his people along in the scheme of things in adherence to his promises before his victory in the election.
Comrade Ajudua said this after he was declared winÂner for the chairmanship position in which Osita COC Amor contested with him.
Other elected members of the executive included Nnamdi Mordi -vice chairman; Edozie Obiaku -secreÂtary; Emeka Kawadozie -assistant secretary; Izama Nwanze-financial secretary; Martins Nwoseh -treasurer and Comr. Ubabudike Chukwuemeka-provost.
The chairman, who described the outcome of the election as an act of God and a victory for all, said that he would bring unity to Umuobiaje and solicited the support of both elders and youths of the community,
Earlier, the Chairman of Obodogwugwu youths, ChÂigozie Ogononwe commended Umuobiaje youths for their peaceful conduct during their election, stressing that they were critical in the development of the comÂmunity.
He said that the election signified a smooth transiÂtion from the former executive to the new one, noting that they should see the election as a family affair and implored the new chairman and his executive to work aw a team for the upliftment of Umuobiaje people.
In their separate remarks, former chairman of Obodogwugwu youths, Mr. Stanley Edo Obiaku, the chairman of the electoral committee, Mr. Dominic Ajudua and a three time chairman of Umuobiaje youths and their grand patron, Mr. IfeanyiObiaku as well as the chairmanship aspirant, Comrade Osita Amor explained that the election was not a do or die but brotherly affair.
While saying that peace was sacrosanct for the overall development of the community, Amor stated that he would accept the outcome of the election in good faith and thanked his supporters for believing in his ideoloÂgies despite losing the election.
Recalled that the election was observed by the chairÂman of Obodogwugwu youths, ChigozieOgononwe and his team of executive.
