THE Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. (Mrs.) Idia Ize-Iyamu, has reaffirmed her dedication to maintaining fairness and transparency for all prospective bidders and eligible contractors interested in undertaking capital projects at the hospital.
Prof. Ize-Iyamu’s commitment follows the tender opening for a series of strategic projects aimed at enhancing the hospital’s facilities and services.
Speaking at the opening of technical bids at UBTH in Benin, Prof. Ize-Iyamu addressed prospective bidders and eligible contractors, emphasizing the hospital’s commitment to due process throughout the tender exercise.
The CMD expressed UBTH’s commitment to ensuring a level playing field for all participants in the bidding process.
She assured all eligible contractors and firms of transparency, credibility, and fairness in the selection process.
In his remark, UBTH Head of Procurement, Mr. John Gozhak, said a total of 79 envelopes were received from prospective bidders for the execution of capital projects.
The projects encompass Procurement and Installation of Radiological Equipment, Computerization of Hospital Services, Procurement of Staff Buses, and Utility Vehicles, alongside Reactivation of Waste Treatment Plant, Refurbishing and Renovation of UBTH Staff Quarters and Hostels, Reactivation of UBTH Stem Cell Programme, Renovation, Refurbishing and Furnishing of Accounts Building, Renovation and Equipping Of Amenity Wards, Construction and Furnishing of Office Complex for Training School, Extension and Equipping of Accident and Emergency Complex, Extension, Equipping and Furnishing of CDC Building and Renovation and Equipping of Laboratories.
