The Founder and President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, Dr David Oyedepo, has warned that the world is in a deep crisis, stating that only the Church, described as God’s end-time army, can bring about lasting solutions.
Dr Oyedepo made this declaration at the grand finale of the 2025 Annual Shiloh Convention, a week-long global event themed “Breaking New Grounds,” held at Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, and streamed worldwide.
Delivering a message titled “The Last Days Are the Ground-Breaking Days of the Church of Christ,” Oyedepo reiterated that God is raising a spiritually empowered army, equipped with “sword and power in their mouths” and endowed with creative and innovative capacities to confront human challenges.
According to him, “The world is under stress, and only God’s institutions on the earth can provide lasting solutions to national issues. God is enriching the Church in every ramification through witty inventions, offering answers to human challenges and solutions to national crises that will humble nations.”
He emphasised that the global challenges facing humanity require spiritual solutions, stressing that the Church has a divine responsibility to rise and provide leadership, hope, and direction in these critical times. Earlier, Pastor Faith Oyedepo taught during the morning session known as the Hour of Visitation, where she delivered a homily titled “Engaging the Power of Testimonies.” She described the Bible as a divine, practical book capable of producing tangible miracles, rather than a theoretical text.
In her words, “The Bible is a book of testimonies. There is no testimony that the Bible cannot replicate. Every seed carries a harvest after its kind. Testimonies are prophetic seeds; feed yourself with testimonies and believe God for them.”
Also speaking, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr, presiding pastor of the ministry, delivered a teaching titled “Engaging the Covenant of Scripture.” He explained that the integrity of God stands behind every word of Scripture, making His covenant unbreakable. He noted that just as day and night remain constant, God’s covenant cannot be broken. “The earth itself is sustained by the unbreakable covenant of God,” he said, adding that God’s covenant is sealed and eternal because God cannot deny Himself. Oyedepo further urged believers to move beyond merely observing the covenant to actively applying it, saying, “Stop observing what the covenant says and start practising what it says.” In the same vein, the Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries Worldwide, Dr David Ibiyeomie, spoke on “Engaging the Power of the Tongue in Commanding the Supernatural.” He cautioned against careless speech, noting that words shape realities.
According to him, “If you are made in the image of God, you must imitate God’s use of words, because the world was created by His word. The louder you speak in faith, the greater your testimonies. No sound, no sign, our words commit God to act.”
