THE Chief Executive Officer of Flo Valley International School, Asaba, Mrs. Florence Ikanone, has charged graduating students to always remember the values, friendships, and lessons instilled in them as they step into the next phase of their lives.
Speaking through the Senior and Punctuality Prefect, Miss Favour Nwakwor, at the school’s graduation ceremony, Mrs. Ikanone commended the Class of 2025 for believing in themselves and embracing their uniqueness.
“As you step out of the comforting embrace of this school, remember the world awaits your brilliance. It will also present challenges, but it will equally offer boundless opportunities. Embrace these opportunities with courage, curiosity, and belief in yourselves. Never forget the power of your dreams and your impact on the world,” she said.
She also acknowledged the efforts of the junior secondary students who are transitioning into senior secondary education, describing their dedication as commendable. The Basic 5 graduands were not left out, as she praised their energy and curiosity and announced that they would be offered free admission into the school’s secondary section.
In her remarks, the Principal of the school, Mrs. Onome Folashie, said the ceremony marked not the end but the continuation of a legacy. “Education is not a destination; it is a journey of growth and purpose,” she said, encouraging the students to be ambassadors of discipline, excellence, and integrity.
Outgoing Head Girl, Miss Mirabel Okeoji, expressed her gratitude to the school’s CEO, principal, teachers, and fellow students for their support during her leadership. She praised the school’s management for shaping their pursuit of excellence and commended her fellow graduates for their unity and cooperation. “Together, we have made a difference,” she said.
The event featured the presentation of awards for academic excellence, punctuality, and neatness. The high point of the ceremony was the announcement of a ₦100,000 cash prize awarded to the best graduating student.
