An unidentified adult body, sealed in a large sack, has been discovered beneath a gutter slab at Bowen Avenue Junction near Okere Roundabout, Warri.
The area became a no-go zone, as the decomposing body emitted a strong, offensive odour that alarmed passersby, beggars, commuters, parishioners of Sacred Heart Cathedral, and nearby traders.
It was gathered that the corpse had been dumped under the slab earlier this week.
The corpse of the unidentified adult had been removed when our correspondent arrived in the area.
Efforts by our correspondent to reach out to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta State Police Headquarters, Asaba, SP Bright Edafe, were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
