THE Majority Leader and member representing Aniocha North Local Government Area in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi has disclosed his commitment in ensuring avalability of portable drinking water in Issele- Uku metropolis.
Hon. Nwaobi, who disclosed this while fielding questions from The Pointer in front of the Afor Market in Issele-Uku last weekend, acknowledged that scarcity of water for both drinking and domestic use was biting hard on both natives and residents.
He, however, assured the public that soon water would get to their door steps as efforts were on ground to reticulate the pipes laid on the ground to bring water to the people, while encouraging them to connect to their houses as soon as the project was completed.
Nwaobi told newsmen that there was no problem at the source of the water, and that the reservoir was also safe, while distilling water was effectively done, He added that they were only trying to maintain existing pipeline and installation of new ones to enable residents access water.
