THE Delta State Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Chinedu Igbo has deployed 956 personnel to all parts of the state, including identified black spots and flashpoints in an attempt to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration.
Addressing officers before their deployment, Commandant Fabian charged them to maintain professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties, stressing the need for vigilance and commitment to the Corps’ mandate.
He urged personnel to match intelligence with prompt action to forestall any act capable of breaching public peace, adding that the protection of lives and property remains a top priority.
Commandant Fabian also stressed the need to ensure the protection of all Critical National Assets and infrastructure in the state this festive season in line with the mandate of the Corps.
He further urged officers to work in synergy with other security agencies in other to achieve a peaceful and hitch free Easter celebration in Delta State.
Commandant Fabian urged Deltans to go about the Easter celebrations without fear or apprehension as security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a crime free celebration.
