LEADERS in Aniocha North Local Government Area have been urged to restore hope to the people as they had been faced with kidnapping, burglary, rape, herders and farmers clashes and lots of other forms of crimes.
Comrade Emma Mukolu, who made the clarion call in a post at the vision to rebuild Aniocha North WhatsApp platform, stated that the vision to transform Aniocha-North must go beyond rhetoric and translate into real, visible change by the grace of God.
Mukolu further stated that no development can thrive in the absence of security. “Today, our communities live under the shadow of fear, insecurity, and uncertainty which is alien to our once peaceful area’’. He said that the surge in kidnapping and violent crimes have eroded public trust, disrupted livelihoods, and stalled economic activity.
He commended Hon. Emmanuel Chinye, who has shown commitment to infrastructural growth, but declared that time has come to prioritize security, adding that true leadership is revealed not in comfort but in crisis and the people of Aniocha-North are looking up to him to act decisively, beyond politics, and beyond personal ambition.
Mukolu noted that though systemic challenges exist, Chinye possessed the political will and public trust to initiate reforms, strengthen security collaborations, empower community vigilante groups, and protect the people.
He urged the local government boss to write his name in gold so that it could be said that in a time of crisis, he led with courage, vision, and restored peace with people oriented policies put in place to curb the menace insecurity.
In his remarks, Hon Emma Chinye, assured that within the few weeks, by God’s grace, the issue of kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area will be a thing of the past, as his government have put necessary measures in place to tackle the menace.
