THE Delta State Police Command have arraigned a 44-year-old man, Akeem Ishola, for allegedly stealing jewellery, including gold earrings and pendants, in Asaba, the state capital.
He is currently facing four count charges in the Asaba Magisterial District, Asaba.
The charge sheet No CMA/346C/2025 reads: “You Akeem Ishola on the 10th day of July 2025 at Adim Obiazor street by 74 Junction, Asaba in Asaba Magisterial District did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing and there by committed an offence punishable under section 516 of the criminal code cap C21 Vol. 1 laws of Delta State of Nigeria 2006. Count 2 stated that “You Akeem Ishola and others on the 10th July 2025 at No. 5, Adim Obiazor Street by 74 Junction Asaba in the Asaba Magisterial District did conspire among yourselves and did commit malicious damage and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 517 of the criminal code cap C21 Vol 1 laws of Delta State of Nigeria 2006.
According to Count Three of the charges, “You AKeem Ashola on the same date, time and place in the Magistraterial District did steal a set of gold earring, necklace and pendant worth N800,000 one human hair valued at N500,000, property of Mrs Nduka Eucharia Ogechukwu and that you also stole cash of N500,000 belonging to the daughter of Chisom Splendor Ude which she is using for her POS business and other stolen items belonging to one Mrs Nduka Eucharia Ogechukwu and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 309(9) of the criminal code cap Vol 1 laws of Delta State of Nigeria 2006.
Count Four read thus, “You AKeem Ashola and others at large on the aforementioned Magistraterial District did willfully and maliciously damage the zinc roof and the PVC of her flat in that process, damage one foam bed worth N250,000 which was damage by rainfall and Turkey clothes valued N1.5m, property of one Mrs Nduka Ogechukwu Eucharia and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 451 of the criminal code cap C21 Vol 1 laws of Delta State Nigeria 2006.
