THE Councilor representing DSIEC Ward 14, Ute-Alohen/Ute Elugu, Hon. Onyeisi Aghaulor, has passed on. He died in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025.
In a condolence message, the Chairman of Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Monday Odigwe, expressed his sympathy to the Legislative Arm of the Council and to the family of the late Aghaulor.
Hon. Odigwe described the late Councilor as a humble man, whose vision for the people of Ward 14 and Ika North East Local Government Area, was focused on uplifting the youth and fostering unity and cooperation between the Executive and Legislative Arms of the local government.
He stated that the news of the Councilor’s demise came as a rude shock, lamenting that the deceased left this world at a time when his contributions and services were greatly needed. While urging the family to find solace in the Lord, the Chairman prayed for God’s comfort to help them bear their loss.
Additionally, the Ika North East Legislative Arm, in a condolence message signed by the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Chuks Dikenwosi, remembered their late colleague as a servant of the people, known for his dedication and unwavering passion for the growth and development of his constituency and Ika North East as a whole.
“The sudden demise of Hon. Aghaulor is a painful loss not only to Ward 14 but to the entire Ika North East Local Government. We have lost a friend, brother, and devoted legislator, whose absence will be deeply felt. His legislative contributions and tireless advocacy for the welfare of his people will remain a lasting legacy.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, the good people of Ute-Alohen and Ute-Elugu, and indeed to the entire Ika North East community. May God grant his soul eternal rest and give his loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
