THE member representing Bomadi Patani Federal Constituency, Delta State, in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Nicholas Mutu has been described as a man who had made significant contributions in positioning the Niger Deltta Development Commission (NDDC) as the commission marks her 25th year’s anniversary.
The observation was made by a group, under the aegis of Niger Delta Progressive Agenda for Change, in a statement signed by its President, Comrade Goddey Money and made available to newsmen in Warri, Delta State.
Money explained that the story of NDDC will not be complete without the proper mention of Rt. Hon. Nicholas Mutu, who served as the House Committee on NDDC between 2009 and 2019.
Describing Mutu as a pragmatic leader, who used his position as House Committee Chairman NDDC to influence some projects to his constituents, he added that “It is on record that within the period when he exercised oversight function as Chairman, he meticulously worked and initiated legacy projects in his primary Constituency and beyond.
They opined that Delta Ijaws stood to benefit more seeing Nicholas Mutu’s return to the House of Representatives beyond 2027.
They urged the people of Bomadi, Patani Federal Constituency to support Rt. Hon. Mutu in his determination to continue to deliver the dividend of democracy to his people beyond 2027.
