Group Endorses Mutu for 2027 Elections

The Tarakiri People for Good Governance has thrown its weight behind Rt. Hon. Nicholas Mutu, member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement, announced under the leadership of High Chief College Akpor, was based on Mutu’s record of performance and ongoing projects in Patani Local Government Area.

According to High Chief Akpor, Mutu was doing much for the Tarakiri people and deserved another term to complete initiatives that required continuity.

Similarly, a former Councillor for Ward 20, Patani local government area, Hon. Chief Justice E. Owewataru, described Mutu as “an impactful and astute leader” whose representation has touched lives across the constituency. He noted that evidence of development could be traced to Mutu in every ward, adding that many political leaders in the area had benefitted from his support.

Also speaking, former Leader of the Patani Legislative Arm and Secretary of the group, High Chief Owopele College said, Mutu remained an asset and political label unmatched by any other politician in Patani. He pointed to recent projects such as the construction of a three-classroom block at Adobu Secondary School as proof of Mutu’s ongoing commitment.

In his remarks, the group’s spokesperson, High Chief Ese Gregory, who also serves as Personal Secretary to the Ebenanaowei of Tarakiri Kingdom, highlighted projects ranging from access roads to electrification and empowerment programmes, all credited to Mutu’s representation.

He called on the people of Patani to unite behind Mutu in 2027, while also expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for their leadership and goodwill towards the people.
