The Okehebunor Foundation has presented cash gifts and maternity supplies to pregnant women and nursing mothers at the Okwe Primary Health Care Centre in Asaba, Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The event brought together dozens of expectant and nursing mothers who benefited from the foundation’s kind gesture, which aimed to ease the challenges of motherhood and promote healthy pregnancies.
Speaking at the event, the founder of the Okehebunor Foundation and Global Director of Africanist Inclusion in Diaspora, Mr. Samuel Okehebunor, emphasised the importance of supporting women during that critical stage of life.
He noted that the initiative was part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving maternal and child health in underserved communities.
Okehebunor reiterated the foundation’s dedication to empowering women, youth, and local communities, especially in areas of education, healthcare, food distribution, and economic empowerment across Nigeria and beyond.
He added that the foundation envisions a Nigeria where every individual has access to the opportunities, resources, and support needed to thrive and contribute to a just and prosperous society. The founder also called on well-meaning individuals passionate about positive change to take action within their communities to ensure fairness, equity, and dignity for all.
“This latest initiative further underscores our mission to uplift and empower vulnerable groups across the region,” he said.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude for the timely support, describing the gesture as both encouraging and impactful. Items distributed included diapers, sanitary materials, and financial assistance to help cover essential needs.
