THE Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), yesterday, screened and confirmed the appointments of three nominees into the Delta State Judicial Service Commission (DSJSC)
Those screened and confirmed for the appointments include Chief Joseph Obiananma Ojobu (Representative of Nigerian Bar Association), Chief James Omanudinowho Obeuwou (Representative of Delta South Senatorial District) and, Barr. Fun-EbiEdonyabo (Representative of Delta South Senatorial District).
While Chief Joseph Ojobu and Chief James Omanudinowho Obeuwou were reappointed into the commission for their second tenure, Barr Fun-EbiEdonyabo is a fresher into the Commission.
All three nominees, who were presented on the floor of the House by their respective representatives in the State Assembly, were thoroughly screened, just as they were also given the privilege of “taking a bow and leave”
Motions for their confirmations were raised by the Leader of the House, Hon Emeka Nwaobi, just as they were unanimously adopted by the lawmakers.
Congratulating the appointees on their successful screening and confirmation, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor enjoined them to discharge their duties creditably in line with the MORE Agenda of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
It would be recalled that the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori had earlier forwarded names of the three nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and possible confirmation.
