THE Delta State Government has commenced gutter construction projects on Ajuyah Street, off Third Marine Gate and Edukuwho Street, off Iyara Street in Warri South Local Government Area.
A resident of Third Marine Gate, Comr Smart Utuyon described the project as a long-desired intervention by area residents.
He expressed hope that the completed project would solve the perennial flooding problem in the area and lauded the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the construction initiative.
“If others before him had done half of what he is doing now, Warri would have been tremendously transformed to a better place. “Governor Oborevwori has truly proven to be a true son of Warri so far,” he added.
Another resident identified as Mr Charles praised Governor Oborevwori’s achievements across all sectors statewide.
He said that the Governor’s accomplishments had positioned him favourably for a second tenure in 2027.
In Edukuwho Street, a resident, Mr. Panama Ogorode complained that the area was flood-proned and expressed confidence that the ongoing drainage construction would solve flooding problems in the area.
Ogorode, like other respondents, appreciated the governor for the drainage construction projects in the area.
