The Chairman of Delta Bureau of State Pension, Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje, has restated that the Bureau was committed to training its personnel to provide satisfactory services to Retirees in the State.
He made the assertion when he, alongside the Bureau Secretary, Mr. Lawson Efenudu, visited staff who were undergoing a three-day Computer Appreciation and Application training under the auspices of the Bureau, in collaboration with Schoolville at the Delta State Innovation Hub.
Sir Ogidi-Gbegbaje said that the training was part of efforts at building the capacity of the bureau to brace up with the challenges of the ongoing professionalisation and standardisation of its operations.
He, therefore, encouraged the staff to take the training seriously and take advantage of it to upscale their knowledge of the use and application of information and communication technology.
The chairman emphasized the bureau’s commitment to providing effective and efficient services to retiring officers and all contributors to the State’s Contributory Pension Scheme.
In conclusion, he said that: “We are creating an enabling environment for our staff to regularly improve their knowledge base and skills with a view to becoming more efficient and professional in service delivery.”
