Delta Civil Service Administrative Officers’ Forum Gets New Leadership

A new leadership has emerged to pilot the Administrative Officers’ Forum of the Delta State Civil Service for the next two years.

To this end, Mr. Emokiniovo Itobore of the Directorate of Government House and Protocol, Asaba emerged as its  5th Chairman.

In his inaugural speech, the newly elected chairman, who emerged unopposed, thanked God for the peaceful election process and the trust reposed in him by members.

While promising to build on the foundation laid by previous executive committee members and promote the ideals of the founding fathers of the forum, Mr. Itobore solicited for continuous training for all levels of Administrative Officers to enhance their skills and performance, adding that improving the welfare of all members to ensure a more productive and satisfied cadre would be prioritized.

He said under his leadership, the Administrative Officers’ Forum was poised for a new era of growth and service to the Delta State Civil Service.

The election, held during the election Congress of the Forum on Wednesday, marked a significant milestone in the forum’s history. Members were charged to redouble their efforts to resuscitate the forum and take it to greater heights.

Meanwhile, the outgone Chairman, Mr Karo Ovemeso, was lauded by various speakers for his immense contributions to the forum’s sustenance during his tenure.

The occasion witnessed the decoration of the Dean of the cadre, Mr. Benson Itedjere, outgone Chairman, Mr. Karo Ovemeso, and the newly elected Chairman.

The election was conducted by a seasoned bureaucrat and a retired Permanent Secretary, Sir Emmanuel Okafor, while the elected officers were sworn in by the Pioneer Chairman of the forum, Elder Eric Osharode.

Those elected alongside Mr. Itobore to run the affairs of the Forum for the next two years are Mrs. C. Enuma as Vice Chairman, Mrs Lauretta Ndu-Kanebi as Secretary General and Mr. Nikoro Jonathan as Assistant Secretary General.

Others are Blessing Ojighoro as Treasurer, Kate Agadaigho as Social Secretary, Mrs Omeru Millian as Financial Secretary and Joy Tobrise-Udele as Public Relations Officer.

Mr. Festus Adilike emerged as Provost (I) while Edareno Florence and Mr. Ukpedor Omanudhowho emerged as Provost II and Legal Adviser, respectively.
