It was a moment of celebration in Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) today as workers of the office of the Executive Director of Projects organised a surprised birthday for the EDP, Chief Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu.
Dr Okorodudu whose birthday was on Sunday, was overwhelmed by the kind gesture from his staff.
The event, which took place in his office, had in attendance the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Chief Oghenekome Okpobor. Chief Okorodudu, who could not hide his feelings, thanked the entire workers and the EDFA for the great honour of celebrating his birthday. He prayed for them to attain old age and more success.
At the event, head of various departments commended him for his exemplary leadership and prayed for more years to be added to him.
“We pray that God will preserve you for us, sir, because you are not only our boss but also a father to us. You have impacted our lives positively in one way or the other and we appreciate you for that,” one of the staff said.
The climax of the event was cutting of cake by the EPD and his staff.
