Ijose said that “it is with great joy and a deep sense of responsibility that I stand before you today on behalf of BEDC Electricity Plc for this significant occasion—the official presentation of exercise books as part of our “Back to School Initiative.” This initiative is more than a gesture of goodwill; it is a testament to our commitment to education, a sector that we at BEDC believe holds the key to unlocking the limitless potential of our society.”

“Education, as we all know, is the foundation upon which great nations are built. It is the fuel that drives progress, innovation and growth. Through education, we can nurture young minds, empowering them to rise above the challenges of today and seize the opportunities of tomorrow. This belief is at the very heart of our corporate social responsibility efforts.

“This year’s exercise comes with a central theme—Resilience, Continuous Learning and Excellence. These values, we believe, are critical for both personal and societal growth. To the students here today, I encourage you to be resilient in your studies and in your pursuit of knowledge. There will be challenges, some days will be harder than others, but remember that each obstacle is an opportunity to grow stronger. The exercise books we present today are more than tools for learning; they are symbols of the resilience we expect to see in each of you. Let them be filled with the lessons you learn, not just from your textbooks but from life itself.

“To the principals, school heads and educators here today, we recognize the crucial role you play in fostering a culture of continuous learning in our schools. You are the champions of progress, and through your efforts, we are nurturing a generation that understands the importance of adaptability, curiosity, and the pursuit of knowledge. It is through your guidance that these young minds will be equipped not just for the exams of today but for the future challenges they will inevitably face.

“We hope that our modest contribution to these schools will ease some of the logistical challenges you face in delivering quality education and will help to further inspire your students to develop a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

“I must extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Commissioner and the directors of the ministry, whose collaboration has made this event possible. Your unwavering support for education and the future of Delta State is commendable. By working together, we can uplift our communities and ensure that no child is left behind in the pursuit of quality education.

“At BEDC, we believe in being a force for good in the communities we serve. Through initiatives like “Back to School,” we are investing in the future of our children and in the brighter future of Nigeria. This initiative is just one of many ways that we aim to contribute to the social development of the regions in which we operate.

“We understand that while electricity powers homes and industries, education powers minds and a well-educated mind is the most powerful tool for positive change. As we continue to build a better tomorrow, we remain committed to supporting the growth and development of our youth through initiatives such as this.”
“Together, let us continue to champion resilience, embrace continuous learning and strive for excellence in everything we do”, Ijose said.
