THE wife of the Chairman of the Sapele Local Government Area, Chief (Mrs.) Diana Bobolo Abeke, on behalf of the Delta State First Lady, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has supervised and coordinated the distribution of educational materials going on across the state. The exercise, which is in continuation of the nationwide education support initiative of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was extended to schools in the state through the Renewed Hope Agenda of Delta State First Lady.
Chief (Mrs) Abeke led a dedicated team to several schools where pupils and teachers warmly received the donated books. The schools include: Ofurhie Primary School, Okokporo Primary School in Okegborode, Otaramua Primary School, Palmer Primary School and Uherevie primary school.
These schools located across both rural and urban areas of Sapele expressed immense appreciation for the gesture.
Chief (Mrs.) Diana Bobolo Abeke, while presenting the books, conveyed the goodwill message of Senator Oluremi Tinubu, emphasizing the importance of education as a foundation for national development. She encouraged the pupils to cultivate a reading culture and make good use of the books provided.
She further commended Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the Delta State First Lady, for her commitment to ensuring that the materials reached the grassroots and for her continuous support towards the education and welfare of children in Delta State.
The event was marked by joy and appreciation from teachers, pupils, and community representatives who acknowledged the gesture as a great motivation for learning and literacy growth in the area.
