The Planning Committee for the Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA) has intensified preparations for its 15th edition, holding a two-day strategic conference and facility inspection from Friday, January 16, to Saturday, January 17, 2026.
The Nigeria Police sporting event, themed “Beyond the Badge: Excellence in Action”, is scheduled to hold from February 7 to 14, 2026, in Asaba.
According to a statement signed and released to the press yesterday by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Bright Edafe, the committee is committed to ensuring that the games meet the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
“Preparations for BIPOGA 2026 are progressing steadily. The Committee is dedicated to delivering a safe, orderly, and successful sporting festival for all participants and spectators,” the statement read.
The conference and inspection exercise, led by the Chairman of the Force Sports Planning Committee, AIG Pam Joseph, brought together senior officers, including AIG Suleiman Abdul, CP Dantawaye Miller, CP Hassan Gwani, CP Osifo Emefiele, and CP Aina Adesola, Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, along with other members of the BIPOGA.
Discussions focused on venue readiness, security measures, accommodation, transportation, medical services, and overall logistics.
Following the strategic deliberations, the LOC conducted a thorough inspection of all sporting facilities earmarked for the games, evaluating infrastructure, safety standards, and overall suitability for athletes and officials representing police commands nationwide.
The exercise was described as crucial to ensuring that every detail aligns with the expectations of a world-class sporting festival.
With less than a month to the opening ceremony, organisers have reassured participants and the public that every operational plan is being meticulously fine-tuned.
The committee emphasised its commitment to excellence, safety, and professionalism, promising a sporting event that reflects the dedication and discipline of the Nigeria Police Force.
