- Welcomes 2026 First Baby

THE wife of Delta State Governor and Founder, You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori has called for greater support, cooperation, and unity among Deltans to achieve more developmental strides in the year 2026.
Deaconess Oborevwori made the call during a visit to the Ughelli General Hospital in Ughelli North Local Government Area, where she welcomed the first baby of the year 2026, presented gifts to newborns, and offset the medical bills of some patients at the government-owned health facility.
The first baby of the year 2026, named Anderson Junior, weighing 3.4 kilograms, was born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Umukoro at exactly 12:06 a.m.
Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, accompanied by members of the You Matter Charity Foundation and top government officials,including the wife of the Deputy Governor, Ezinne Catherine Onyeme; the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme; and the wife of the Ughelli North Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Jaro Egbo, congratulated the parents, describing the birth as a sign of divine favour.
While encouraging Deltans to embrace the New Year with renewed hope and a positive mindset, Deaconess Oborevwori charged the new mothers to raise their children in the fear of God, describing them as God’s heritage. The Governor’s wife also prayed for the mothers and offset the medical bills of some patients in the hospital.
Parents of the star baby, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Umukoro, alongside the grandmother, expressed gratitude for the visit and the surprise gifts.
