EJOVI Family Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) has empowered over 60 indigene of Agbon Kingdom in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta state at the grand finale of the 70 years birthday anniversary of the founder, Chief Johnbull Ejovi. The empowerment items included tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dryers and the presentation of 1,000 packs of rice.
It would be the recalled the Ejovi Family Foundation had earlier embarked on a free comprehensive eye screening for over 2,000 person, dispensing of free medical eyeglasses to 200 persons, 400 eye drops and eye surgeries for 22 person with serious cases of cataract.
Speaking at the event, the celebrant, Chief Johnbull Ejovi said “my story and where I am coming from is far and that is why people are rejoicing with me and I want to thank God for what he has done for me.
“And in doing that I have come back to give back to my people and I am not competing with anyone or politician because many of them are my children.
“The beginning was a rough and having come this far, I have to return and help others and put smiles on their faces.
“I am appealing to the beneficiaries of this empowerment not to sell whatever they are given, but make judicious use of them to earn a living.”
Commending the gesture were Chief Johnbull Ejovi and High Chief Emonena Victor Egukawhore.
On his part, Chief Tunde Smooth, the Bulouowei of Niger Delta described Chief Johnbull Ejovi as a generous man, saying “ as you can see, the communities are happy with him.
Wife of the celebrant, Chief (Mrs.) Ejovi while celebrating her husband said “seeing him celebrating
70 today is one of my happiest days, he is very strong and healthy, it is a thing of joy for me and the entire family and it is my prayers that he should continue to wax stronger.”
