The Delta State Police Command has arrested two men, Friday Gaiya Joseph (30), and Moses Captain (31), for allegedly stealing and unlawfully possessing military camouflage.
The suspects are currently facing a three-count charge before the Magistrates’ Court, Asaba, within the Asaba Magisterial District.
According to the charge sheet No. CMA/325c/2025, Joseph was accused of stealing one military camouflage, property of the Nigerian Army, in 2024 at the Asaba Magisterial District. The offence is said to contravene Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Cap C21, Vol. 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.
The second count alleges that Joseph and Captain conspired to commit a misdemeanour by unlawfully possessing military camouflage, contrary to Section 517A of the same law.
In the third count, Captain is accused of being in possession of military camouflage on 22 June 2025 at Asaba, and of wearing it to impersonate a military officer, an offence punishable under Section 109 of the Criminal Code Law, Cap C21, Vol. 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.
Both suspects have been remanded pending further court proceedings.
