As the waves of political coalition blow across the Delta State political landscape, a chieftain of the default People Democratic Party (PDP) and one-time chairman of Ughelli South local government area, Chief Ovis Uto, has left his new political party, APC, to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Recall that Chief Oviri Uto was an Executive Assistant to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Sen. (Dr). Ifeanyi Okowa.
It was reliably gathered that the former Ughelli South Local Government Area chairman is currently eyeing the Delta State chairmanship position of the party.
When contacted, Chief Uto expressed dissatisfaction with PDP.
The defection of the former PDP chieftain is coming barely three days after a political coalition meeting in Abuja, where prominent political figures gathered to discuss opposition unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
