Community Crack Down On Bisexuals, As Police Declares Lesbian Lady Wanted

While the fate of 10 young women charged by the Edo State police command over their alleged bisexuality hangs in the balance at the court, one Gloria Omoaregha Oteri is on the run and currently believe to be out of the country for fear of being arrested or face generational ritual cleansing from her community on account of her preferred sexual orientation of being bisexual (Lesbian).

The Edo State police in collaboration with various communities in their fight to combat bisexual activities have recently arrested several young ladies believe to be Lesbians in the state.

It was revealed that, one of the suspects, Oyinkuro Black age 37, upon interrogation, confessed how she has in years back indulged in same sex activities with one 37 years old Gloria Oteri believed to be among other lesbians in her community, Igarra town of Edo State Nigeria.

It was reported that, some youths in the communitty who got information of the bisexual practices of Oyinkuro Black, laid siege around the environment and caught Black and another of her partner a 39 years old Elizabeth Igho from Delta State making love in the bathroom.

It was revealed by a youth in the community that, Oyinkuro Black and her partner was apprehended and handed over to the Police. Oyinkuro Black upon interrogation by the police confessed to have also been in same sex relationship with one Gloria Omoaregha Oteri who is said to be a married woman with three children. She confessed that her secret bisexual relationship with Gloria has been on since 2010 and has continued even after Gloria got married.

It was also revealed that Oyinkuro Black gave money to two of her neighbours just to keep them from revealing her bisexual activities with Gloria Oteri. According to the report, the two neighbours had come forward to the police with claims of having pictures of bisexual activities of Black and Gloria.

The Igarra community alongside with the Edo Police is said to have through the suspect’s confession increased their manhunt for the bisexualist Gloria Omoaregha Oteri. The police was said to have visited Gloria’s home in search of her while the youths in the community threatened to burnt down her father’s house.

The suspect noted that, while she and the other woman was arrested that very night by youths of the community and handed over to the police, she has not seen Gloria for some time, as she was told by another of her bisexual partner that Gloria and her family are currently out of the country on vacation.

A police source on the condition of anonymity revealed that the 37 years old Oyinkuro Black and 39 years old Elizabeth Igho from Delta State are already being procecuted in court for LGBTI after they were caught and  arrested on August 6th 2024 for engaging in an unholy sexual act prohibited by Nigeria Constitution (same sex marriage (prohibition) 2014). The duo were granted bail on November 12, 2024 and are to appear before the court in the next sitting on February 10, 2025.

It was also reported that the Igarra community vigilante in charge of the issue has declared a wide search for the arrest and prosecution of the bisexual suspect called Gloria Omoaregha Oteri. And even Gloria husband’s community has been informed about the  development and both community are currently in search for Gloria Oteri.

According to reports, Gloria and her family’s continous stay away from both communities and the country is considered very critical to her continued existence, as she would be stoned to death if caught by her husband’s community or made to perform generational ritual cleansing by her own  community or jailed if caught by the police.

The law in Nigeria makes it illegal for bisexual people to even hold a meeting or something of such. The Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act also criminalises homosexual/lesbians clubs, associations and organizations, with penalties of up to 14 years in jail.

Beyond that, the Act provides that anybody found supporting/promoting acts of gay or lesbianism in clubs or elsewhere is punishable with 10 years imprisonment.
